# 6 Quote of the day: "In a minute, but not yet..."

“In a Minute, but not yet…”

Mike and Jack sharing a cake together.
Children learn what they live.

Intro about day #1, August 13, 2015
Comments heard around the Middle School.
Student:  “Can I stay here?”   “This is my favorite school, ever!”   “I want to live here”
Teachers are creating a place where students feel…
Teachers:  “Stayed away from a list of rules…”  “Waiting for the other shoe to drop”  “Excellent”
Principal:  “When the bell rings and the hall remains empty for 5+ seconds, I know who releases students.  Teachers, not bells!  Very nice!”  (I was even able to do that in the lunch room after you all had set it up so well.  Thank you!)  "The students feel safe when we help them manage things."

Thursday
“In a minute but not yet…” seemed to set a high bar.  Nice work.  The final test was at dismissal time when the office seems extra chaotic.  Kristen started with “In a minute but not yet…” and the halls were still quiet.  It typified the day.  #nextlevel

Here's big mike and little jack, a few years later, still sharing life together.
It's the common events, activities and exploration that opens a child's mind.
